The GEF Independent Evaluation Office participated in two panel sessions at the American Evaluation Association Conference:

(Session #1) Systems and complexity thinking in environmental evaluation for today's, and tomorrow's, "wicked" problems

Juha I. Uitto, IEO Director, will be the keynote speaker at the 2019 Energy Evaluation Asia-Pacific (EEAP) conference in October. EEAP is a community supporting the evaluation of energy policy and programs. This conference theme is "How can evaluation be used to secure support from funders?".

The GEF Independent Evaluation Office will participate in numerous workshops and sessions during the National Evaluation Capacities (NEC) Conference organized by the Independent Evaluation Office of UNDP and the Government of Egypt. The GEF Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) together with the Earth-Eval Community of Practice (CoP) organized the Third International Conference on Evaluating Environment and Development in collaboration with IDEAS Global Assembly (GA). The theme of the conference was Evaluating Environment, Climate Change, and Natural Resources Management. The conference gathered the participants in Prague, Czech Republic, for 3 days of intensive discussions.
