This impact evaluation of GEF support to protected areas worldwide includes both qualitative and quantitative evaluation approaches. It draws on evidence from global databases on protected area management effectiveness tracking tools, species population time series, and remote sensing of forest cover, but also draws on in-depth evidence from visits to seven countries and 28 protected areas.
