Impact Evaluation

The Global Environment Facility (GEF) provides funds to recipient countries to protect the global environment. But compared to how big the world's environmental problems are, the funds the GEF provides are very small. That is why GEF's partners have the bigger role of expanding and building on the initiatives that GEF funds. This video presents five of the common ways by which larger impact is achieved. It is based on the GEF Theory of Change Framework that illustrates how GEF support leads to global environmental benefits. In a nutshell, the five most common ways that allow larger-scale impact to be achieved are: Sustaining, Scaling-up, Mainstreaming and Market change.
