Meetings of the Conferences of the Parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions

The thirteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention (BC COP-13), the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Rotterdam Convention (RC COP-8) and the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention (SC COP-8) was held from April 24-May 5 in Geneva, Switzerland. The theme of the meetings was "A Future Detoxified: Sound management of Chemicals and Waste". Juha I. Uitto, Director of the Independent Evaluation Office of the GEF, was invited to participate in a panel discussion about the findings of the recently completed evaluation of the Chemical and Waste portfolio with a discussion on how this can beneficial for future programming impacts.
