Kseniya Temnenko

Kseniya Temnenko has more than 15 years of experience in knowledge management and evaluation. As a Knowledge Management Officer at the Independent Evaluation Office of the Global Environment Facility she works on innovative meso-level evaluation studies that synthesize evidence on priority topics and contribute to policy and programming discussions across the GEF partnership and with broader stakeholders. The Evaluation of the GEF Support for Transformational Change which she led together with Geeta Batra developed the theory of change and identified the necessary and sufficient conditions for transformational change in the GEF interventions. She also develops training materials for stakeholder meetings, learning, and dissemination products (such briefs, videos, and infographics) that share lessons from evaluations. Her previous work in the Evaluation Office of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) was in the areas of knowledge management and evaluation systems strengthening. Kseniya guided the development of the UNICEF's Approach to Monitoring and Evaluation of Policy Advocacy, led the establishment of the internal community of practice that united over 300 monitoring and evaluation professionals across the globe, and championed the development of e-learning activities at the United Nations Evaluation Group's Training Task Force. She also worked and consulted for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Eurasia Foundation, and the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC). Kseniya Temnenko has master's degree in Sociology from a University in Ukraine, certificate from the International Program on Development Evaluation Training (IPDET). She also attended the Certified Knowledge Manager Training at the Knowledge Management Institute in Washington, DC.
