The GEF Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) facilitated a course on “Evaluating at the Nexus of Development and Environment: Challenges and Opportunities” for the Shanghai International Program for Development Evaluation Training (SHIPDET).

SHIPDET was hosted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Independent Evaluation Department and the Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute (AFDI). The two-day workshop guided participants in identifying key challenges in evaluating environmental programs within social-ecological systems and exploring approaches and tools to address these challenges—creating opportunities to move beyond traditional evaluation criteria.
